LeeAnne, ChristyAnne and I have been walking every Monday since a bit after our babies were born but it wasn’t until this past few weeks we are on a serious fit momma mission. That’s right ladies we broke out and dusted off those dreaded weight scales and found ourselves getting right down to business. It’s time to get our “figures” back. Now, I don’t want to sound vein or conceded in any fashion but my hunny needs his hot blonde back. I want to be back. I want to be back for me not just for him but to feel good and feel energetic for Gibson and those other kiddos in my life. I desire to be that couple who honors God with our bodies and since we can’t really afford a gym membership now its time to bring out that phenomenal jogging stroller my cousin Desi bought us and put some serious miles on her. I mean S.E.R.I.O.U.S.!
While I realize that a ton of blogs are honing in on the New Year’s Resolutions I don’t really seem to care about what time of year it is because my body just did the most incredible journey filled moment it will ever do and I don’t want to feel ashamed of that but I do realize that loving pizza may just have to go away for a bit. Good thing my one vice is sugar free*
So..Here it is “THE PLAN”
I recommend that you get a food journal/exercise journal where you can either Martha or Mary it and keep it in any fashion you’d wish just keep track of what your eating vs. weight daily if you like or every other day your choice. This has helped me greatly in the past when I went from 155 pds to 143 pounds.
I don’t have a “goal” weight either. That seems to rigid to me. I have a “do I look good/feel comfortable in my clothes” goal. YOU on the other had may have to have a weight in mind and you know what that’s totally acceptable. If it helps you get “there”.
If you are trying out a new fitness routine or jumping back on the wagon after taking much time off (like me) then leave a comment and let me know what you’re doing to improve your overall health.
Convinced yet.

Hey Cheyla!
I’ve been on a s.e.r.i.o.u.s. get healthy mission myself! I quit sugar! I can’t even believe it. I am completely addicted. I’m talking “oops I ate 12 cookies today and could eat 12 more and feel great” addicted. It’s bad. that for me is the first step. All I’m doing is trying to avoid sugar and invent/find some new healthy meals to make my family for dinners and make enough for lunch for Derek the next day. also, I’ve been working out! I ran 2.5 miles on monday and did a little toning workout video. Yesterday I ran hills for 30 mins and did push ups and tricep dips in between. Today I just did a workout video. My goal is just to do SOMETHING even if it’s just in my front room and not let myself get on the crazy sugar cycle again. I feel good about it because it seems attainable and I feel good. i tend to be a yoyo dieter and excersizer so my biggest goal is to NOT GET DISCOURAGED. as soon as i stopped the sugar i dropped 3 pounds fast and as soon as I started excersizeing (yes, only 3 days ago) I gained it all back in muscle. that happens every single time and I get so frusterated! But its not about the scale as much as being fit and healthy. Sorry I wrote you a book haha! Look forward to hearing about your journey!
Alexis,
You’re awesome! Lets just say I could certainly use the “no sugar” diet! Let me ask you this, Did you quite cold turkey? What kind of meal plans are you coming up with and what type of food are you preparing? I’d love to hear about that. I’m thankful you reminded me to get out my dreaded Jillian Michaels video. Oh my! its really a love/hate with that women.
I’m excited to really begin come Monday due to a goal i set even after I wrote this. I WILL be running a 5k come April with my best friend in our home town. I’m excited because it gives me a time frame. Something T.A.N.G.E.A.B.L.E! i walked it last year after i had gotten thru what i felt was the worst of the hyperemisis.
Don’t get discouraged friend. text/call/fb/twitter anything to keep me informed on your progress.
Im on your team! You can do it lil’ momma!
Chey~
WTG Chey! I ran this exact schedule after having Morgan and then once I ran the 5K went on through and ran a 10K. It’s incredible what you can do! I’m really hoping to run again after this little guy is born! So awesome you have friends to do this with too…so motivating! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Janell,
Thank you so much for the support. It’s a toughie getting the weight off. Looking forward to coffee!
